A recent news report in the Science section of GC (Galician Confidential), a newspaper in Galicia, Spain has reported on the findings from a recent MOSES output. The article focuses in on the coastal vulnerability of the regions along the Galician coastline as reported in the MOSES study published in the scientific journal Marine Policy by researchers at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU), Javier Fernández Macho, Pilar González and Jorge Virto.

The article compares the Galician regions to other regions vulnerability scores also reported in the same MOSES paper. The full article can be read here. (please note that the article is Galician, use of an online translator will be needed) The article concludes that while the Galician coast is quite vulnerable to the risk of marine spills, it receives some of the highest scores for water quality, waste treatment and active coastal protection.
