Recently CIIMAR held a webinar on the theme of “Towards sustainable aquaculture in Portugal. Best practices from Centro region”. Speakers at the webinar were:
- Dr Helena Abreu is ALGAplus commercial director. She is an expert in seaweed physiology and cultivation, namely in IMTA land-based and open-sea systems derived from work experience in Portugal, USA, Chile and Ireland. She has extensive relations with national and international R&D and business entities. She is Vice-President of the International Seaweed Association Council.
- Dr Renata Serradeiro, CEO ACUINOVA, fish farming company with more than 150 workers. Experience in the aquaculture sector, including management activities, for more than 20 years.
- Dr Andreia Cruz, PhD in Biotechnology, is Genetic Manager for Oceano Fresco, shellfish breeding company for aquaculture.
